QR Code designs and placement

To give you the best results with your QR codes Yumpingo has guidelines around printing and placement best practices

Design:

Yumpingo will provide a QR code and URL for your team to create collateral in line with branding and printing services. Here are the requirements for the branding:

  • Clear call to action - ie "Scan here to leave a review"

  • Size - the QR code should be big enough to scan easily; at least the size of a business card

  • Contrast - a dark QR code on a light background works best; ensure the QR contrasts strongly with the background

  • Durable - avoid paper or disposable products with a short lifespan and that will need to be reordered often. ie Metal table talkers are more durable than a paper business card.

In service:

  • Multiple touch points- visibility of the QR codes is vital so have them in at least two places (for example a table talker and on the receipt)

  • Steps of service - Incorporate your staff mentioning the QR codes to every guest

  • Timing - Guests will leave a review at the end of their meal so make sure the QR code is most visible then,  ie Printing a QR code on your menu, won't yield good response rate.

Below are some examples of how other brands have displayedd their QR codes
