Reputation - Inbox message from "Anonymous User"?

From time to time you may see an Inbox item (usually from Facebook) that comes from an Anonymous User. This means that the social media integration, (i.e. Facebook) was not able to provide the reviewer's personal information. When that happens, the display name defaults to Anonymous User instead of leaving the author blank.

 Why does this happen?

This is due to the specific users' privacy settings, which are controlled by the user and can vary.  When you receive a message from an Anonymous user, it was published from an account with strict privacy settings that do not give permission to Facebook to share their personal information with third-party applications like Yumpingo.

To see the user's name in your reply, just click on the body of the text (see red arrow below), and you will be redirected to Facebook and the original message (a new tab opens where you can reply, respond, delete and edit).
